BoAt Airdopes Prime 800D

The boAt Airdopes Prime 800D features 11mm dynamic drivers coupled with boAt's Signature Sound and Dolby Audio support. During hands-on testing, the Dolby Audio integration creates a noticeably wider and more spacious cinematic soundstage compared to standard budget earbuds. The sound signature is traditionally V-shaped, emphasizing a punchy low-end that caters to bass lovers, while still retaining reasonably clear vocals and decent instrument separation at moderate volume levels.

Battery performance is a major highlight, offering up to 45 hours of total playback at 60% volume from the 500mAh charging case. The earbuds themselves house 50mAh batteries that reliably last for hours on a single charge. The standout is the ASAP Charge technology, which impressively delivers up to 4 hours (240 minutes) of playback from just a quick 10-minute stint in the case, making it incredibly dependable for travel.

Equipped with a four-microphone setup powered by AI-ENx technology, these earbuds handle calls effectively in various environments. In quiet indoor settings, voice transmission is natural and crisp. When used outdoors during daily commutes or in busy office environments, the AI algorithm does an aggressive job of separating the speaker's voice from background clamor, ensuring clear communication, though it can occasionally make the voice sound slightly processed under heavy wind.

It is important to note that the Airdopes Prime 800D does not feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), relying purely on passive isolation which may let some low-frequency engine hums bleed through. However, its other features more than compensate. It boasts an IPX5 water and sweat resistance rating, holding up perfectly during intense gym sessions. The standout addition is the Crest AI support built on Google Gemini, unlocking voice-activated features like Crest Ask, G-Assist, and Crest Translate directly through the boAt Hearables app. The app also allows for extensive touch control customization and Adaptive EQ tweaks. For gamers, turning on BEAST Mode drops latency to an ultra-low 45ms, providing highly synchronized, lag-free audio-visuals during fast-paced multiplayer sessions. In-ear detection and Multipoint Connectivity further elevate the overall user experience.
